yes, every morning. the window has a western exposure, which means morning gradually shimmers into awareness and evening lingers on the horizon. also sobering. the shenzhen bay land reclamation project has already restructured the coastline and unmade marine livelihoods. i am trying to understand how to live the contradictions as beauty and not resignation to urban sprawl.
